Alright. Now, have you installed JP language into your PC? I'm pretty sure this game still uses VXA engine. Also, last time I heard that this game's author was rather anti towards gaijin(foreigners), so I think they might've deliberately not using any kind of EN font support... If they still have problems with foreigners, that is.

PS: And no. I don't know what issues they have against foreigners. All I heard are just rumors.

Try searching for Locale Emulator or Locale Remulator or similar named program then run it through that. My experience with previous games from this author seems to be fine with just switching your system locale to Japan, also if you're on WIndows 10 disable the BETA useless function
