Took me long enough, but now I can confirm that this torrent indeed contains the Japanese version of Tsukihime! Just switched the image from the one I've been using until now to this one, and the game started without any issues (I guess the checksum difference was probably caused by some insignificant amount of data being corrupted).
By the way, I really recommend that you play the game using the unofficial soundtrack (Ever After), available here: https://nyaa.si/view/95954 (which IMO is much better than the one included inside this torrent)
Enabling it though wasn't exactly straightforward, so just in case were you to have similar problems, let me share how I managed to pull it off on Windows 98 SE JP:
- Convert the files from the above torrent to .wav
- Use PowerISO/MagicISO to first create an audio CD - see here for details: https://www.ngemu.com/threads/heres-how-to-use-custom-music-mp3s-with-vib-ribbon.165649/
- Mount the audio CD using Daemon Tools
- Enter the CD-DA menu inside the game and change the drive to the one you just mounted
And today, I'm having problems starting the Plus-Disc and Kagetsu Tohya, so I ended up using other images..
As an alternative to this torrent, perhaps https://nyaa.si/view/427133#com-7 (poexic's link) might be a faster way to download all three Tsukibako games in Japanese (and maybe also a way to play the Plus-Disc and KT, in case this torrent doesn't work for you either)
This is Tsukibako = Tsukihime, Tsukihime Plus-Disc and Kagetsu Tohya (with a Chinese patch included?) - luckily, still alive even after 10+ years have passed since the original upload, hail NYAA! ^^

At the very least, the original Tsukihime is most likely in Japanese, as
Not so sure about the Plus Disc or Kagetsu Tohya, as the former seems to have a separate patch file included, and both of them have slightly different file sizes (compared to the ones I got from elsewhere).

This torrent:
Tsukihime present inside another Tsukibako I found elsewhere (100% confirmed to be the Japanese edition, since contrary to this torrent, I've actually played that one ;)
The .sub and .ccd files match the ones present inside this torrent, but the img file is a different one (although, as previously stated, the size in bytes does match)
